Transcribe offers a writing environment that is tightly integrated with an audio player, helping you transcribe audio in a single screen without having to constantly switch between a media-player and a text editor. You can control the playback of the audio file handy shortcuts.

Transcribe will auto-save every keystroke. The transcribed text is stored with your browser and no data is ever sent to our servers. This data is persisted even if you restart your browser or computer as long as you don't clear your browser's cookies or cache.

If you make a mistake while typing press Ctrl+z to undo the previous change.  When you are done transcribing, you can export the text as a (Microsoft Word) .doc file to your computer.

There is also a dictation feature that allows you to directly speak into the microphone - your words will be converted to text using voice recognition.  Transcribe works with the following foot pedals:
Infinity USB Foot Pedal - http://www.amazon.com/Infinity-Digital-Control-Computer-IN-USB2/dp/B002MY6I7G

lol - live out loud

There are people who celebrate with you and want the best for you.  THEN there are haters and those that rather you silent and invisible.

Errr... I don't like cooked apples. But that doesn't mean the people that do are stupid. Our differences and preferences create jobs and opportunities for us to provide value to each other.  I'm so happy the guy who likes cutting grass is built that way and I am happy to exchange value with him.  Some value certificates (money) for his valuable service (cutting grass). It would make me unhappy to have to do it myself.  I don't like it. :-(  ...growing beautiful, healthy green plants that you are not planning to eat feels like a waste of time in my world.  It is just not my thing.

Eve gave up all that she had for the one thing she didn't have. Puff your chest out with gratitude and get in where you fit in.  Some are warriors and fight the powers that be for equality and justice.  Sounds like stress and a lot of yelling.  Hmmm... not my thing either. I am an ADVAN-tist and cross on the line of using what we already have and cultivating the field we are in to its potential. It is ever fascinating discovering the stuff that God has placed inside and around us. In fact, that is how I look at many professions.  The doctors are ever discovering the mind of God when he made our bodies work the way it does and call it medicine.  They are "practicing" because it is like a game of chance to see which pill, potion or lotion will work with your unique image of God.  Oceanographers study the part of God's mind that made the oceans.  Entomologist study the part of God's mind that made insects. Trichologists study the part of God's mind that made hair, etc.

What in dust (we were created from) would so many of us do all day if God's ways were our ways and His thoughts were our thoughts.  I suppose we would not need faith because we would know it ALL already.  I believe that it is our individuality that makes us suited for one kind of food or another; one kind of career or another; one kind of happy or another; one kind of value or another.  Design your happy.  Hang where you're celebrated instead of where you're tolerated; espcially if you're the kind of you that likes that sort of thing. :-) Have YOUR happy!  ~lorrinda

Me Myself and I Peak at Ego

I am who you see. Me is who you see. Myself is who I really am. ~lorrinda

While listening to the wisdom of  one who has been called the Father of Motivation, Dr. Wayne Dyer quoted a poem about ego.

Ego - "My Own Small Self"
In "Who Is This?", a poem oft-quoted by spiritual teacher and author, Wayne Dyer, the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore faces down the ego, calling it "my own small self":

Who is This?
I came out alone on my way to my tryst.
But who is this that follows me in the silent dark?
I move aside to avoid his presence but I escape him not.
He makes the dust rise from the earth with his swagger;
he adds his loud voice to every word that I utter.
He is my own little self, my lord, he knows no shame;
but I am ashamed to come to thy door in his company.

"Who Is This? is from Tagore's "Gitanjali", an unparalleled collection of poems and odes to man's higher self, the "Friend", or God.  Tagore won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 for the "Gitanjali", the first writer from the Indian sub-continent to do so.  William Butler Yeats, the great Irish poet, wrote an introduction to Tagore's renowned collection of poems. Wayne Dyer's interpretation of "Who Is This?" can be found in his book, Wisdom of the Ages 60 Days to Enlightenment, a wonderful collection of essays for the spiritual seeker.

SEO vs PPC - Which Marketing Strategy?

Focus on your specific industry and business model to gauge cost effectiveness or SEO and PPC strategies.
PPC needs constant spend but has quick impact, no-nonsense upkeep, no-fluff results, and intrinsic self-reliance. Landing pages should be optimized.
SEO has the potential to be more cost effective if campaigns are well researched and are deployed to a strategy.  SEO  has holistic tendencies (inbound marketing, content marketing, conversion rate optimization) which all attribute to organic traffic, directly or indirectly.
Sam’s idea is to compare the cost effectiveness of SEO or PPC, reduce each channel to 3 key metrics, 1) Cost per visitor, 2) Cost per conversion, 3) Total Average. Here  is rest of the story...

iPads for Elderly

In a pilot program set to launch during the second half of the year, Japan Post will provide 1,000 iPads to older citizens for free. Apple will supply the iPads, which already have an operating system packed with accessibility features, including settings for people with vision or hearing impairments. IBM will work with the Japan Post to develop iPad software that will improve a service the company already has in which postal service workers stop in on the elderly, and to train Japan Post employees to work with the technology.
The company plans to expand the pilot into a business that will reach four-five million Japanese customers by 2020. “I am approaching 80 years of age,” Nishimuro tells us, gesturing toward his cane as he explains the serious crisis that Japan faces in managing its rapidly aging population. The rest of the story...

Business Blueprint for Total Life Changes

I know it's a little odd, but I actually enjoy deciphering business models. What I look for are scalable, duplicatable, rinse-and-repeat, income producing activities coupled with trending, quality products or time-tested, best practiced, efficient services.
The main reason that I like the TLC business model is because they have some phenomenal, natural products that work; secondly, it is easily duplicated; third, for the price of a steak dinner you can launch a no overhead, home based business; and finally because you must help others achieve their goals if you want to reach the highest ranks.
And on top of all that, the independent business owner (IBO) has the opportunity to rebuilt and support their health and the health of their customers while creating a lifestyle business minus the overwhelm.
The work of this business benefits from the science and psychology of prospecting and a genuine desire to build, residual wealth. The tactics used can include internet marketing, offline marketing, in-person events and online events. What's not to love?
My teammates have my promise to earn their trust and benefit from my years of business and technology experience. We offer home office training that includes tips and tech tricks and tools to help run a business that does not run you down. We believe that your business should fit the lifestyle your desire, instead of having to squeeze quality life around your business. I feel an obligation to share this business opportunity with those who are ready to make a total life change and be the captain of their own ship.
To schedule a personal walk-thru of the Total Life Changes business model, complete with pros/cons and alternatives, just plug yourself into my calendar.

Measure Vitamins and Minerals with Smartphone

Caring for ourselves may become much easier.

I want to try this smartphone device that tells which vitamins and minerals you need. Seems similar to what the Biomeridian stress test machine which I experienced at the Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine in Raleigh with Dr. Pittman. The Vitastiq Indiegogo campaign was 100% funded 25 days before campaign closure. If nothing else, that points to the fact that people are getting involved with their own health and well being.

Prosper in good health, ~lorrindam

Snooze Momentum

Snow is the most inert state of water, but avalanche is one of the most powerful forces of nature.  In an avalanche, one little snow particle causes other little snow particles to move, which causes more little snow particles to move, which cause even more little snow particles to move, etc. Boom!

When the alarm clock goes off in the morning you have a few choices; ignore it, get up or hit the snooze button. If you actually get up and go to the shower, you’ve started a positive cascade of emotions and triggers.  In your head you’re already thinking, “I’ve got time to eat breakfast, exercise and meditate this morning… this is gonna be great!”  At that moment your brain starts to release the feel-good hormone dopamine and you get different patterns emerging in your brain.  Different parts of your brain come on and those positive internal cycles begin to recruit other positive internal cycles.  You actually begin to feel more awake because more areas of your brain are on!  In turn, elevated levels of dopamine recruit circuits that optimize other neurotransmitters… as you get into the shower, this is already happening.

Because you have enough time to compose yourself without feeling stressed about being on time, your brain tells the adrenal glands on top of your kidneys that you don’t need cortisol.  Less stress, therefore, lower levels of cortisol in your blood over time improve the likelihood that you live longer.  Some think of the word “disease” as DIS ease or NOT at ease.

The downstream effects of one choice can be enormous when you take a cause-effect approach to what is actually happening in your world and in your body because of even seemingly tiny choices.  Perhaps because you were in a better mood, you paid attention to a thought or an observation that changes the course of your life because you were more alert and feeling good.  Maybe if you hit the snooze button and had yet another rushed exit to get to your day, it turned into another day that you are just coping instead of thriving.

Like an avalanche, put all the forces of nature behind your desire to create your best life; letting nothing (not even a snooze button) stop or hinder you.

Have your best day (life).

P.S. Rooibos Tea may be a natural sleep helper.  It is all natural, naturally sweet, caffeine free and antioxidant rich.
