The gut has 80% of my immune system.
GALT - gut associated lymphatic tissue
There is a brain around my gut is bigger and more active than the brain inside my skull.
90% of our serotonin which is the neurotransmitter associated with well being and happiness is produced in the gut of a healthy person. Inflammation is mostly turned on in the immune system around the gut.

A healthy human being has more bacteria (good bacteria) in their gut than cells in the rest of their body. There are so many functions the intestinal flora actually perform; one of them is to function as a satellite liver.
40% of the toxins that we are exposed to are detoxified by the intestinal flora and if you kill them off
you'll be taxing your liver; and that can zap your energy.
There are nutrients that are made available only if they are pre-digested by the intestinal flora; a prime
example are the B vitamins; that's why fermented foods are so good for us.
Prebiotic shake (food for the good bacteria)
10 oz almond milk
1/2 cup blueberries
1 medium banana
1 handful of baby spinach
1 scoop plant-based protein powder
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
followed by a probiotic.
For the digestive tube:
Bad bacteria and yeast organize themselves into something called the biofilm. The bacteria starts sticking
or melding together so to speak. When the biofilm gets thick enough it prevents nutrients from getting
through into your intestine. And if you have toxins, the toxins get stuck in it -- they get sequestered. Now, you've got toxic stuff held next to your gut, the nutrients can't get through there. It's a perfect storm.
Berberine was recommend as one of the supplements that can dissolve the film. 400mg every afternoon. Berberine has been used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine; thousands of years old.
GALT - Gut associated lymphatic tissue which is basically speaking; your immune system. 80% of the immune system is around your intestines. GALT is the most transitive border between the inside and the outside of your body. The immune system is located there to make sure that nothing foreign gets into your blood.
The recommendation is to take L-Glutamine (1,000 mg) with the Berberine in the afternoon. The intestinal wall protects the GALT from seeing what is inside the digestive tube; that's
1. good bacteria
2. bad bacteria
3. undigested food
4. parasites
5. yeast
When we have gaps in the cells of the intestinal wall creating a condition called hyperpermeability or (leaky gut); that is when the immune system goes into attack. By promoting the growth of the cells and the re-covering of those gaps, you will calm down the immune system and save it from consuming all that energy that can be diverted for other things.
The last part of the 3 day cleanse as was on the Dr. Oz show is to jumpstart something Dr. Junger says a lot of people are calling the second brain. Around the intestines is a huge nervous system. There are more neurons around the intestines (second brain) than are in the brain in your skull. This is where 80-90% of the serotonin in your body is being manufactured along with many other neurotransmitters. When the gut is dysfunctional; where there's hyperpermeability, disbiosis, biofilm, bad bacteria, parasites and other organisms, the GALT starts attacking all those things, and the nervous system in the gut participates in all of the adaptation and survival mechanisms and consumes a lot of other functions such as producing serotonin. Without serotonin, you feel down which is why the second brain (the nerves around the intestines) are so important. Before bed take 250 mg magnesium to stabilize the nervous system. Magnesium is one of the things that we are most depleted of. This will allow you to sleep better and stabilize your moods.
